The Ohio Chapter of UPMA scholarship recipient for 2022 is Cameron Reichenbach. Cameron is the son of the honorable Mary Lee Reichenbach, Postmaster of Waynesfield OH 45896. Cameron graduated from Wapakoneta High School. During Cameron’s years in high school he participated in football, baseball, while excelling in swimming. Cameron also achieved the rank of Eagle Scout the highest rank in the Boy Scouts. He has also worked and earned his private pilot license. Cameron will be attending Kent State University in the fall to pursue a degree in Aeronautics. His goals are to earn his commercial polit license, to be a flight instructor, and become a pilot for a major airline, corporate, or cargo carrier.
The Ohio UPMA Retirees Scholarship recipient for 2022 is Paige E. Chio. She is the daughter of the honorable Terry Chio Jr., Postmaster of Continental Ohio 45831. During her high school years Paige was active in concert choir, encore choir, and musicals. She also volunteered at her church. Paige will attend Bowling Green State University to pursue a teaching degree in the arts.
Scholarships are awarded annually at our State Convention to outstanding graduating high school students who are a son, daughter, or grandchild of an active or retired member of the Ohio Chapter of the UPMA, and will be entering their first year at a college, university, technical or vocational school, enrolled full time, during the academic year.
Each year the scholarship committee determines the total amount of the scholarships to be awarded,reviews the applications and selects the recipients of the scholarships. The Ohio Chapter is proud to play a part in furthering the education of these young students.
The Ohio Chapter, UPMA will be awarding two (2) $1000 scholarships. The Ohio Chapter retirees will be awarding an additional $1000 scholarship for a total of three (3) $1000 scholarships from the Ohio Chapter membership.
