PODCAST-UPMA TODAY

UPMA Today, is the podcast of members, by members, and for members!  The people and places, the activities and agenda of the United Postmasters and Managers of America are the realm of UPMA Today, our organization’s very own podcast.

Hosted on our own YouTube channel, also titled ‘UPMA Today,’ this new podcast is part of our plan to enhance UPMA’s internal communications efforts and effectiveness through a variety of media.  UPMA Today’s first episode debuted at 12:00 a.m. on January 1, 2025, the same moment the Leonardi administration officially assumed office. The communications team’s goal from the beginning has been to present highly useful, topical information in a new way, while producing episodes in what could be described as a ‘news show’ format. 

Recent episodes focus on a powerful new initiative to directly assist UPMA members in their career advancement by helping to refine and strengthen their job applications;  showcase crucial, ongoing membership recruitment efforts and activities nationwide;  introduce the new staff at the UPMA national office, all of whom are longtime, highly involved and accomplished members of UPMA;  and shine a well-deserved spotlight on some heroic members who were instrumental in getting HR 82 passed into law, enabling civil service retirees throughout the nation to finally begin receiving their full Social Security benefits, which they earned — and entirely deserve.
