UPMA Training at Ohio Convention 2022

The Ohio Chapter Convention planned training sessions were held on Friday, June 10, 2022. The training was open to all postal employees and registration for the Ohio State convention was not required to attend the 3 classes held concurrently on Friday from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. Several USPS employees attended one of the 3 sessions with the descriptions following:

Know Your Office! Level – PS 150
Presentation: Mari Beth Kirkland, USPS Master Facilitator
Learn to understand how the level of your office is determined.
We will walk through and explain all the factors in determining office Level and why this is so important.

LSS Yellow Belt Training, Employee Development
Presentation: Cheryl Judge, USPS LSS Certified Facilitator
This introductory course provides knowledge and tools for Operational Excellence.
Walk through guidelines on subjects for your employee development presentation and certifications.
Learn about your role as a lean practitioner and the improvement KATA Method.

      In-Person eCareer Conference and Workshops
      Presentation: Lisa Koprivec, USPS Headquarters PO Support
      eCareer conference for employees seeking upward mobility in management with the US Postal
      Service covering the following topics.
      I have no experience, now what?
      How do I write an effective KSA?
      Can someone review my application?
      How do I prepare for interview questions?
      Workshops with mock interviews for Supervisor/PM positions, One-on-One application reviews.

Both trainings are offered to everyone in the Ohio Chapter and the Retirees.  The National Board is paying for a total of 4 rooms for the Ohio Chapter.  The Chapter will pay for the transportation cost of the trip.  If interested in going to this training I need to know, so I can let the National Office Know how many will be attending from Ohio and which session you would like attend.
