The 2025 Ohio Chapter Scholarship Recipients
The membership proudly present:
Paris Salyer
Paris is the daughter of Jodi Salyer,
Postmaster of Sandusky Post Office.
Paris will be graduating from Columbian High School in Tiffin Ohio this spring.
Active in dance for 10 years, Paris joined the dance team for the last 4 years.
She participated on the tennis team and was elected captain this last year.
Enjoying singing, Paris was a member of the choir and solo
ensemble. Receiving a superior all 4 years.
She was a member and volunteer, in the high school theatre, Ritz Theatre Players, Star
Theatre, and also participated in the Heidelberg Community Music School.
Paris will be attending Bowling Green State University this fall majoring in Early Childhood Education.

Phillip Meddock
Phillip is the son of Darren Meddock, Postmaster of Waverly, Ohio 45690 and the grandson of retired Postmaster Paula Meddock.
This spring, Phillip is graduating from Waverly High School in Waverly, Ohio where he has been involved in many clubs and
organizations both in school, as well as his community.
A few of them are P.A.W.S., National Honor Society, and WCC Worship Team.
During the last 2 years he attended many College Science
Courses that will help him in college, as he pursues a career in nursing.
He was captain of the soccer team his senior year and awarded the 4 year Varsity Soccer Award.
Phillip has done many things in the summer and through out the year to make money for college
while learning trades along the way. He has done Lawncare, Landscaping, Handyman, Power-
washing and Staining, and Carpentry services.
When he is not outside working or in school he is making pizza at a local pizzaria.
Phillip plans to attend Shawnee State University in the fall, to pursue an associate degree in
nursing. His long term goal is to obtain a masters degree and a doctorate. His aim is to become a
Doctor of Nursing Practice with a specialty in
sports medicine.

Brooklynn Johnson
the granddaughter of Billy Anderson, retired POOM Cincinnati, Ohio
Soon to be a graduate from Gahanna Lincoln High School.
Brooklynn excelled during her high school years taking many
honors classes.
She played volleyball all through high school and was the captain for three years, receiving many awards. She also played club volleyball.
Brooklynn is a member of the Spanish and National Honors
Societies. In her spare time, she volunteered in her church and
community.
She also donated her time making blankets for the Ronald McDonald House.
She will be attending The Ohio State University this fall majoring in Business Administration, specializing in Marketing.
Brookllynn also hopes to study abroad and see
how businesses are run there.
